The Yakama Nation's Upper Columbia Habitat Restoration Project is requesting bids for construction of a Salmon Habitat Enhancement Project to be implemented along the mainstem Chewuch River in July of 2021. The project will involve all work elements and specifications found in the Project Plans attached to this Request for Bids announcement.

Please note that bids will be due in Toppenish by Close of Business, Wednesday December 2, 2020, in hardcopy form. Due to on-going office closures related to the COVID-19 pandemic, bids can only be submitted by physical mail through the United States Postal Service. Bids should be mailed to:

Due to this submittal constraint, we strongly encourage all contractors submitting bids to get their hardcopy packages in the mail by November 24, 2020 to ensure timely delivery to our Post Office Box by December 2, 2020. It is also recommended that you email the project manager indicating that you have submitted a bid and the date that it was mailed.
Davis Bacon Wages Apply to this contract. The winning contractor will adhere to the Davis Bacon rules and comply and submit all necessary paperwork to the Yakama Nation.
The Yakama Nation is exempt from state taxes on this project. Please see the attached Treaty Fishery Exempt Cover Letter and Treaty Fishery Exempt Certificate. The winning contractor will receive signed copies for their records.
This project has adopted by reference in the Engineer's Planset the 2014 Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction. Please also download a digital copy of the WSDOT_Standard_Specs_Manual-2014.pdf file from this webpage for reference when producing your bids.
This project is located on property managed by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. The contractor must be able to meet insurance and bonding requirements and obtain a Right of Entry (ROE) permit through WDFW prior to commencing work. WDFW specific insurance and bonding requirements are detailed in the attached Chewuch_RM4_Construction_Bid_Packet.pdf.
