CLOSE the platform/h&l fishery

The Columbia Upriver Spring chinook run has been downgraded to
75,000 at the mouth of the Columbia River.  The allowable treaty harvest
rate in US v OR is 7%, which is projected to be exceeded before the end of the
spring management period June 15.  The Snake River wild component could be
low enough to restrict the treaty harvest rate down to 6%, therefore the
Fish & Wildlife committee hereby close the platform H&L fishery in the Columbia
River at 6pm Saturday May 25, 2019.  This closure will remain in effect through
6am June 17, 2019 OR until enough spring chinook are available for tribal harvest NOT
to exceed the allowed harvest rate.
