Request for Bids: Chiwawa Outlet Habitat Restoration Project

Project abstract: 

UPDATED (4/18/2024) The Yakama Nation's Upper Columbia Habitat Restoration Project is requesting bids for construction of a Salmon Habitat Enhancement Project to be implemented along the Chiwawa River during July 2024.  The project will involve all work elements and specifications found in Exhibit E - Construction Planset and the Chiwawa Outlet Bid Packet.

Please note that bids will be due in Toppenish by Close of Business, Thursday May 9, 2024, in hardcopy form.  Only hardcopy proposals submitted to Yakama Nation Fisheries via parcel delivery service or postal mail will be accepted.  Bids should be mailed or shipped to:

We strongly encourage all contractors submitting bids to get their hardcopy packages in the mail by May 3, 2024 to ensure timely delivery. It is also recommended that you email Annet Dillman (dila@yakamafish-nsn.gov) a digital copy of the bid you have submitted as well as a copy of your certified mail certificate for proof of submission.

Additional Information:

  • This Project occurs on Washington State Department of Natural Resources, State-owned Aquatic Land.  The selected contractor will be required to meet specific indemnity and insurance provisons as outlined in the checked boxes within Exhibit D of the example contract.  Documented compliance with D.07 through D.11 is required prior to mobilization to the Project.
  • Davis Bacon Wages Apply to this contract.  The winning contractor will adhere to the Davis Bacon rules and comply and submit all necessary paperwork to the Yakama Nation.
  • The Yakama Nation is exempt from state taxes on this project.  Please see the attached Treaty Fishery Exempt Cover Letter and Treaty Fishery Exempt Certificate.  The winning contractor will receive signed copies for their records.
  • This project has adopted by reference in the Engineer's Planset the 2024 Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction.  The 2024 Standard Specifications Maunal can be downloaded here:  https://www.wsdot.wa.gov/publications/manuals/fulltext/M41-10/SS.pdf
