Announcement
The effort and harvest in the Priest Rapids and Wanapum pools has significantly declined. Therefore the Fish &Wildlife committee hereby closes the sturgeon setline fishery in those pools at 6pm Saturday Dec 16, 2017.
There are 83 harvestable sturgeon in the John Day Pool, therefore the F&W committee authorizes a commercial sturgeon setline season in the John Day Pool from 6am Monday – 6pm Sat December 30, 2017. The fishery may close sooner if the available quota is caught. Please see the attached regs for details.
