STHP RFQ for Consulting Geomorphologist

The Yakama Nation Fisheries Program, Southern Territories Habitat Project (STHP) is seeking proposals from qualified consultants or firms to provide geomorphic consulting services to support the conceptual development of river restoration projects in the Klickitat, White Salmon and Rock Creek watersheds.

STHP will work with the selected consultant to define deliverables: Height Above Water Surface (HAWs) mapping, field assessments, LiDAR interpretation, and development of visuals and brief assessments to guide our planning, funding and design development efforts.

The services to be provided may include, but are not limited to:

  • Baseline geomorphic assessments of riverine or upland systems.
  • Field data collection (e.g., cross-sections from LiDAR, sediment sampling, channel measurements).
  • Historical aerial imagery analysis
  • Assessment of natural fish passage barriers (alluvial fans and waterfalls)
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Preparation of maps

Detailed scope and deliverables will be finalized with the selected consultant.

Please provide the following in your quotation:

  • Company profile and relevant experience.
  • Resumes of key personnel assigned to the project.
  • Description of your approach to geomorphic consulting.
  • At least two references from similar projects.
  • Fee schedule and estimated budget for proposed services.
  • Availability and proposed timeline.
  • Assume four days of site visits in the Klickitat, White Salmon and/or Rock Creek watersheds

Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience (30%)
  • Proposed methodology (25%)
  • Cost (20%)
  • Availability and timeline (15%)
  • References and past performance (10%)
