Education: M.S. Fisheries Science, Virginia Tech

B.A. Environmental Science, University of Virginia

Focus: Information summarization and reporting in support of all aspects of the Yakama Nation Fisheries Program's work and mission, with an emphasis on the implementation of fish and habitat production, restoration and protection actions and their benefits. In support of the Fisheries projects and biologists, Michelle facilitates improvements to process and sharing efficiencies for data management initiatives, data security, and reporting obligations. She also supports outreach and education for the Fisheries Program, helping to raise awareness of the vast extent of environmental restoration and advocacy that the Yakama Nation undertakes throughout its natural resource traditional-use areas.

Current Products: Annual comprehensive high-level status reports summarizing habitat restoration, production and reintroduction project implementation, species status and trends, and hydrosystem operation impacts. Development and maintenance of website functionality enabling internal and external data QA/QC and sharing. Development of an upgraded data capture, review and reporting system through the conversion of monitoring and evaluation and production projects from paper datasheets and Access forms to mobile digital forms, consolidated centralized datasets, real-time reports, and online graphical outputs.
