On August 9th, 2022, the Yakama and the Umatilla Nations together honored the Wykanish at a community event at Fish Hook Park along the Snake River. As Salmon People, we are committed to working with all sectors to restore our Wykanish (salmon) and other native species (resident/ anadromous). Our treaty rights guarantee our right to fish in perpetuity.
