The Yakama Nation’s Upper Columbia Habitat Restoration Project (UCHRP) is requesting competitive bids from qualified helicopter operators for aerial transport of woody material to facilitate construction of the Chiwawa Area G Phase 2 Habitat Restoration Project. This project is located on US Forest Service Property near rivemile 12 on the Chiwawa River in Chelan County. Our preference is for this work to occur early in July to align with the in-water work window and support construction timelines. In total 260 logs with rootwads and 120 pilings will be staged for excavator construction following helicopter operations.
This aerial transport project will involve all work elements and specifications found in the Chiwawa Area G - Aerial Wood Transport pdf attached to this Request for Bids.
Please note that bids will be due in Toppenish by Close of Business, Wednesday April 16, 2026, in hardcopy form. Bids should be mailed to:
Yakama Nation Fisheries
Attn: Annet Dillman

We also recommend that you email Annet Dillman (dila@yakamafish-nsn.gov) a digital copy of your final bid documents as well as a copy of your certified mail certificate for proof of submission. Make sure the certified mail certificate clearly lists the name of the project, recipient and address of the sender.
