 Yakima River RM 89.5 Floodplain Restoration

Bid Date: December 13, 2024

The Yakama Nation is requesting bids for construction of the Yakima River RM 89.5 Floodplain Restoration project to improve fish and wildlife habitat in the Meninick Wildlife Area, Toppenish, Washington.  The project will consist of installing log structures, selective excavation of side channel inlets and sediment plugs, and revegetation of areas disturbed by the project.  The project area extends over approximately 3 miles of floodplain. Construction is anticipated in September through November of 2025.

Davis Bacon wages apply to this contract.  The successful contactor will be required to comply with federal laws and regulations and applicable provisions of the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance and other tribal laws. Estimated cost is $1.84 million to $2 million.
